TRP mafia and Anna Hazare -- best critic from Settaikkaran

Lately, friend of mine texted me to read Arundhati Roy's I'd rather not be Anna article published in The Hindu newspaper. Previously I too blogged on the topic and it once received huge traffic.

I always boast myself that Tamil has huge number of authors who can get to depth. Though there are lots of critical views on Anna Hazare issue, the best critic I have read is from Settaikkaran blog "உண்ணா" ஹஜாரேயும் ஊழல் எதிர்ப்பு நாடகமும்

As long as we have such in-depth articles in Tamil, we may not get victimized by TRP mafia of north India.

Solved: "Ports" Tab Not Visible in VS Code (WSL2)

None of the solutions I found on Reddit or GitHub worked, and most of the related GitHub issues were locked. So I'm documenting this here for future reference. Problem When using WSL2 in Visual Studio Code, the Ports tab—needed to access your application in Windows browsers like Chrome or Edge—doesn't appear. Even the Ports-related options are missing from the Command Palette. Solution After a lot of trial and error, here's what worked: Run npx serve in the VS Code terminal. You may notice that it opens on a different port (for example, http://localhost:64198 ). At this point, the Ports tab becomes available in VS Code. After this initial trigger, the Ports tab seems to remain available in future VS Code...

Donated a meager amount to Wikipedia

Heleena is madly interested in charity works and after reading Shiv Nadar's interview in Entrepreneur magazine , it gave us some direction as he mentioned only Education can change the lives . Been one of the early contributor of Wikipedia (13th or 18th Wikipedian, I hope), I've just donated a meager amount as it's a very good tool for Education. (In reality, these sort of things shouldn't be blogged (I know that); I just thought that it would let other people to donate to Wikipedia. Sorry for the noise)
